Well it seems to be a good day then a bad day around here.... on the bad days, John sleeps most of the day and frequently awakes having "lost a day." On the good days, there is still no salsa dancing going on but he is at least a bit more alert. Yesterday was a bad day. He was out most of the day. This morning it seemed today would be a good day, and we made plans to run to Target after lunch; however, by about 10 a.m. I could see that was not going to be a good idea, and we quickly tabled those plans (hope to see if we can do it nearer to dinner, but not holding my breath). Basically he is just in a lot of pain, and he tires very, very easily. We are trying to manage the pain with the meds. They work most of the time. As far as the exhaustion, he just sleeps. Sleep seems to be the best remedy right now because when he sleeps he is not in pain.
The rest of us are doing okay. We are on day 3 of school and all is going well with our educational plans. I have been working again this week. That is going pretty well too. I am just so very, very tired from not sleeping for longer than 4 hours at a stretch. Looking forward to this weekend. I NEED to get the office unpacked. Now that we are back to school that has become priority numero uno (ok after nursing John and normal mom stuff).
Please continue to pray for John's healing. It seems this will just be a long road. We were told that while he may be able to return to work within 4 weeks, he won't be "back to normal" for 3 - 6 months. Soooooooo keep on praying please.
